Contracommon is a 501(c)(3) artist collective that empowers emerging artists through community and collaboration. We host a 1200 sq. ft. gallery in the Hill Country Galleria, as well as a community woodshop, darkroom, workshop space, and 16 private artist studios. Our current studio artists work across all disciplines. Artist names include: Taylor Bailey, Molly Knobloch, Iris Rylander, Amar Gupta, Kelsey Baker, Forrest Aderholt, Alex Coronel, Rachel Spits, Brock Caron, Aria Brownell, Carrie Shannon, and Chris Ancarrow. We will also be hosting work in our gallery by Russell Brxwn, Art by Jet, Melanie Farris, and Kirsten Lofgren.
Artist Statement

Taylor Bailey is a graduate of Southwestern University, with a Studio Art and Art History double major. Raised in the hill country of central Texas, she now works at The MAW Gallery in downtown Austin and is the Executive Director of Contracommon, a nonprofit arts collective in Bee Cave.
Artist Statement
Taylor is a visual artist whose work primarily focuses on landscape theory and the relationship of humans with the environment. Her drawings and paintings range in size and material, often utilizing paper and metal, charcoal and inks to create high contrast, dynamic compositions that explore the chaotic connections between man and nature.
