Susannah Blanton is an artist living and working in Austin. Growing up in Fort Worth she was influenced by the creative spirits of her parents who exposed her to all forms of art from an early age. She began painting seriously around 2004 in Los Angeles where the strong social commentary in the local artists served as the greatest influence to her work. To her, it's not about just making something that is pretty - it is about illustrating a message and telling a story - even if it is not one everyone wants to hear.
