Melanie Hickerson is an experienced artist whose work is in many private and public collections around the world. Ms Hickerson received her MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. She has traveled broadly; lived and worked in Rome, Italy; New York City and Texas. Among the many places she has traveled, Guangzhou, China, ranks as one that left a lasting impression. She had two one-person exhibits in Soho, NY, NY. She was panel moderator for a session called "Defining and Developing Women's Iconography" at the1997 WCA National Convention, Philadelphia, PA. This was one of her favorite experiences.
