Rubina Anjum's Solo Art Exhibition. at Tel Art gallery, Austin TX( Fall 2019). Guided Tour by Rubina Anjum. Planet Earth Series One- A collection of 20 large-scale, oil on canvas paintings that bring a new idea to the art world. I explore different artistic styles and my ideas are intertwined with satellite-inspired views from approximately 300 miles above our planet.
Art-Making (Time Lapses) Impromptu Abstracts. As part of my artistic practice, I love recording & sharing my creative process. I do so in the hope to motivate my audience to find their own creative outlets. I begin with some initial idea and one thing leads to another as I maneuver to create balance and excitement.
Rubina Anjum is an Austin-based artist, art educator, and entrepreneur. She works extensively with oil paints and watercolors. Her main body of art is the Planet Earth Series with a total of nineteen paintings. This subject matter is a new idea for artistic expression. The Planet Earth Series is inspired by images taken from the Landsat7 satellite of the US Geological Survey. Numerous paintings of hers were most recently exhibited for six months at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The TEL Art Gallery in Austin featured Rubina's works in a solo exhibition in the Fall of 2019. She is working on a social entrepreneurial project of posting free art lessons and sharing her creative process online through which she aims to open 21st century channels to acquire, appreciate, understand, and create art. She embraces the philosophy that creativity will propel us forward as a species.
