About the Artist
Tobola has been working with figures in oil paint over twenty years.She graduated from The School of the Art Institute is Chicago with a BFA in 2006, and has been showing her work in central Texas for the last six years. Tobola lives and works in central Texas.
Artist Statement
Tobola works figuratively mapping internal ideas of a body through color and layers of paint while fixating on layers of flesh tissue, residual emotion, and disease. Ignoring polished pretty surfaces
