About the Artist
Hunter Jacob is an Austin based artist. Jacob grew up studying music however diverted from the arts to pursue a degree in mathematics from the University of Texas. Having repressed his artistic side for several years, Jacob has resurrected his creative passion drawing from his unique upbringing and personal experiences. Jacob is a 5th generation Texan with a mixed background.
Artist Statement
I tend to blend abstract and expressionism concepts to render a subconscious collection of significant 'omens' I have come across in recent times. I try to express intangible things and emotions on canvas using precise proportions while maintaining a free and open-ended style.
