About the Artist
Emily is a professional designer, illustrator and artist who lives in Austin Texas. She recently started her painting career in addition to her creative design work. She has 20 years of corporate design experience for a broad range of clients. Emily holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design from the University of Texas at Austin.
Artist Statement
Emily's artwork focuses on nature and beauty. She draws inspiration from where her eyes travel most, the smallest veined leaf, limitless landscape, and flowing water. Her work features those small details as she transfers them to canvas. Her process involves thin layers of acrylic paint applied loosely, resulting in colorful paintings with many layers.
