Join us for a panel unlike any other, because it’s a cartoon. Six members of the art community cover topics like their fear of being reduced to a database entry, where to find studio space that accommodates chainsaws, and how to avoid being scammed by tech companies...all while appearing as bizarre, animated versions of themselves.
The topics were taken from a recent survey where we asked artists across Austin to list three ways they hope to see the art community improve. Animating the panel is a fun way to embrace the virtual emphasis of this year’s studio tours.
Featuring Celina Zisman, Laura Oxendine, Catie Lewis, Keith Kreeger, and Raul De Lara

DFP was created as an arts and entertainment resource for the creative community in Austin. Working with makers, musicians, and creative solopreneurs, DFP acts as a guide for crafting professional practices. DFP offers one-on-one consulting, workshops, and organizational tools that empower artists across disciplines with the information needed to maintain and grow their businesses.
In 2016, DFP participated in the annual East Austin Studio Tour with the exhibition, High Craft Art Market, and has since hosted four iterations of the event. The show bridges the worlds of fine art and fine craft while showcasing Austin's contemporary female makers.
The overall goal of DFP is to empower Austin's creative businesses through education and to provide opportunities to be seen and patronized by the community.
HIGH-CRAFT is an interactive art market showcasing contemporary female artists and makers from the Austin community. HIGH-CRAFT highlights craftsmanship across media, and bridges the worlds of fine art and fine craft.
