I was born in New Orleans and raised in an extremely rural area on the East coast. After high school, I transferred from studying painting at a local Community College to Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia. During my studies, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Rome and spent the last year of my residency studying under Stanley Whitney. I received my BFA in Painting and Art History and bounced around after graduation to a few different cities. I eventually found Austin 13 years ago and have been here painting and developing the web ever since.
I paint what is on my mind. It is generally a visual narrative or commentary - I think of myself as a storyteller. I use oils, spray paint, or digital painting to render the characters or objects that set the scene for the viewer. These narratives allow me to work through a variety of subject matters ranging anywhere from art historical references to emergent technologies to the state of the current world.
