Bees Of Bee Cave
A colony of giant Bee Sculptures will be making their debut at The Hill Country Galleria during the Austin Studio Tour 2020. Each of the ten super-sized Bee sculptures designed by different artists will celebrate the unique buzz of Bee Cave, from its hill country heritage to its vibrant contemporary style.
Ten artists and/or artist teams were selected to paint the sculptures through a juried competition . The selected artists include Anne Nolan, Carmen Rangel, Cheryl Latimer, Giselle Miller, Jennifer Nowzaradan, Jenny Swannack, Jodi Bade, Mila Sketch, Veronica Palmer, and Paolo Bugatto with the Lakeway Bunch.
Artist Statement
The mission of the Bee Cave Arts Foundation is to improve the quality of life in our community and enhance the experience of visitors by bringing awareness, education and integration of a wide range of art throughout public spaces. The Hive Community Art Gallery in the Hill Country Galleria is the home of the Bee Cave Arts Foundation. The Hive features rotating art exhibitions, classes, community art projects, and an interactive kids area for the whole family.
Also there is the Bee Cave Sculpture Park, a 7 acre park featuring 30 contemporary sculptures. picnic tables, and a giant chess set A lovely place for a family outing.
