Geraldine's Place: The Life and Times of Geraldine Hickerson
Geraldine's Place is Art 84's virtual exhibit of the colorful home of the late Austin artist Geraldine Hickerson. We take a brief tour of the art with daughter, Melanie Hickerson and niece, Kim Eitze, discussing Geraldine�s philosophy and impact. Geraldine's Place: On the Path to a Virtual Mobile Home
The creators of "Geraldine�s Place" discuss the project as it progresses from a random facebook post to a live, immersive experience of the mobile home of the late artist Geraldine Hickerson, a colorful testament to art in old Austin. About the Artist
For this year's studio tour, Art 84 features two online exhibits. "Geraldine's Place" is an online guided tour of the home of the late artist Geraldine Hickerson, a colorful testament to the love of art in old Austin. "Work in Progress" features the work of Cornelius Carter and explores the historical struggles and triumphs of African Americans. Both exhibits combine paintings, music, and interviews to convey the power of art. As part of Fisterra Projects, Art 84 promotes the enjoyment and collection of original art, hosting artists of various styles and media, along with live Dance + Music + Art events.
