Amber Perry is a 26-year-old artist and social worker in Austin, TX who uses traditional and digital media to create landscapes and portraits. Amber has painted from a young age and maintains a small business making custom artworks. She also works in the community to connect underrepresented groups to creative therapies.
In my paintings I am working to let go of "picture-perfect likeness" in favor of embracing expressive gestures and colors. In my latest series of bridges around Austin, Texas, I have enjoyed incorporating blues and pinks, experimenting with the direction of my strokes, and combining architectural and floral elements.
